"Pushkaram" means "the one who purifies" and commonly refers to a festival where rivers are worshipped as a purifier. At this sacred festival that occurs only once in 12 years, one can commune with the gods at the river, considered to be a meeting place of the gods. This earring is part of the Aikya collection which celebrates "unity" and "oneness" and symbolises the identity of the human soul or of the universe with the deity. Inspired by the cosmos this range of jewellery is designed and crafted in brass and torched wood highlighting the contrast between the ephemeral and the constant, celebrating our quest for Oneness.
