Dhokra uses one of the earliest known methods of metal casting in history known as the lost wax technique to cast various crafts in bell metal.

Featured here is the Vahana or "vehicle" of Durga. Each year Durga arrives and departs in a particular vehicle that symbolises a message for the earth. The boat as a vehicle symbolises that the earth will be showered with much rain.
