Unlike the big jewellery houses, local craftsmen in India do not have the luxury of making moulds to replicate their jewellery. What they do instead is painstakingly craft piece after piece to perfection, complete with hand worked quirks that make each of them unique. In the process, their jewellery ceases to be a result of mechanical mass production and becomes an honest work of art.
